Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!

I know, there's already Christmas decorations going up behind the scarecrows, but I was sad to put them away. I just bought them for decoration because I loved the girl with the pigtails, but I really enjoyed coming home and being greeted by our scarecrows every day!

Although we missed all of our family, we had an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday. Scott actually took Friday off of work, so that was really nice! We had the Hagmans over on Thursday for turkey. Unfortunately, in all the fun, I completely forgot to take any pictures. :-(

But I did get some pictures on Friday -- we relaxed a little and then went and cut down our Christmas tree. Although freezing cold, it was a beautiful sunny day! The kids all had fun, although Nathan was a little (or rather, a lot) disappointed we couldn't decorate the tree the same day -- he says that's the only fun part.

Halloween in Tigard

It's so fun to see your pictures, Jodee!!

I've been meaning to get our Halloween pictures up here, too. My brother was in a mountain-biking accident on Saturday and got hurt pretty badly, so that put a bit of a damper on my picture-posting a little. But here are some fun pictures from the past few weeks.

Carving Pumpkins -- Talia was interested in what everyone was doing, but she did NOT like sticking her hand inside the pumpkins!! The extra child in the pictures is Eve, our neighbor and practically-adopted daughter. (Did you notice Scott's whiskers?)




Costumes -- Here's some pictures from our Halloween celebrations. We went to the ward party on Saturday night, and then trick-or-treating around the neighborhood on Halloween. The picture with me is the only time Talia kept her antennaes on for even 30 seconds, and, yes, the beard on Scott's costume is real. (He got asked quite a bit.)

is NOT on the list of most fun things to do -- she got quite upset that people were putting candy in her bag instead of her mouth. She very quickly had a lollipop in her mouth, one in her hand, and a piece of candy in the other hand. (At least then she couldn't scream at people when they took more than 5 seconds to give her a candy!)

Afterwards, I gave the kids one day to eat all the candy they wanted (yes, Kaylee got a sick tummy) and then we threw out the rest, so the house is finally candy-free. Next year I won't be so prepared by buying candy three weeks beforehand -- I'm sure I put on a few extra pounds as a result!

We hope you all had a good Halloween this year! Halloween was fun this year for the Putman Family. We went trick-or-treating around our neighborhood for a little while. This was Jonah's first year that he actually realized what was going on and he caught on really fast. He was so fun to watch! They were all so cute in their costumes. Then, we went over to our ward Halloween party. They had a bounce house for the kids, spook alley and a lot of games. At the end of the party, they went trick-or-treating around the church building (members handed out candy in each of the classrooms). It was a nice, safe way to trick or treat. Anyway, just wanted to share and try out this new blogging thing. We are enjoying the beautiful weather in Coos Bay right now. The rain hasn't really started yet :) The leaves are turning beautiful colors and it is getting colder at night. We hope you are all well and happy. We love you all! Let's Blog!

Hi, everybody. My sister-in-law set up a blog for the Lambourne family, and it's actually been a lot of fun. It seems like a good way to make the miles between all of us seem a little smaller. So I thought it might be fun to do with the Bair side of the family too!


Here's a recent picture of the whole family - Scott's co-worker does his yard up really big for Halloween, so we took everyone out to see it. Lisette was a little scared, but Nathan took his gun and did a good job of protecting her.

Jenna, Kaylee, & Nathan are in the full-swing of school. Going to a public school after 3 years of a charter school is a bit of a change for Jenna, but everyone is adjusting well. Jenna is leading her class in Word-Gobblers (reading pages). So far, she's read about 1200 pages every week since school started. (And I thought summer was bad trying to keep her adequately supplied with library books -- now she just goes to the school library every recess and gets new books for herself!) Jenna & Kaylee are my big helpers around the house. Nathan goes to half-day kindergarten every day and is working on learning how to read and write.

Lisette & Talia get to stay home with Mom & Dad. They are getting bigger and cuter every day, and we certainly enjoy them. We pretty much just try to stay on top of everything and not forget anything extremely important. Scott is enjoying his work, most of the time, and we enjoy having him work from home so we get to see him a lot more often.
