Back to School!

Allison and Lindsey started school on Tuesday. Lindsey is our big Kinder student. She loves her teacher and feels very important going to school now. Her teacher likes to sing and play guitar during class and all the kids love her. Allison just started 4th grade. I can't believe how the time flies. Allison likes her teacher a lot too. We started Allison and Lindsey at a different school this year, the one closest to our house. So far, they are enjoying it. Chad is doing great at his school. The year is starting off good for him. We are all well here in Coos Bay. Hope you are all doing well too. We loved being in Tigard with Scott's family for Kaylee's baptism. What a wonderful time we had being together with Mom and Randy and Dad and Margaret and Leticia's Dad - and of course Scott, Leticia, Jenna, Kaylee, Nathan, Lisette and Talia!! We had a fantastic time together. Thanks Scott and Leticia! Here are some recent pictures. Love to all of you!

The latest from Coos Bay . . .

Hi everyone! We are all doing well here. I wanted to share a few pictures to update all of you on how the kids are growing, etc. We were able to take a trip to Portland area last weekend. The kids and I ventured out alone, (Chad stayed home to go fishing) and visited friends Gina and family and Scott, Leticia and the kids. The weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed our time there. We are looking forward to a visit from Grandma Putman on the 6th of May. Chad is having a lot of success at work and everything is going well for him. We are in limbo right now deciding whether to remain in Coos Bay or move out of the area. Chad is interviewing this month in Rainier, Molalla and Clackamas. We will see what happens. I am staying busy with the kids and with my church calling. Our primary president moved out of the ward back in February and our 2nd counselor just had her first baby. So far, they have not filled the calling. So, that leaves me and our secretary to run the primary. Our secretary is gone a lot. It has been very stressful for me but quite a learning experience as well. I am enjoying my children so much right now. I can't believe how fast they are growing :) Hope you are all well and we will talk to you all soon! Love you,
Jodee

Our little actor's guild
Our children all LOVE to dress up and put on a show for us. And, of course, it's always better when you have a captive audience -- in this case, Scott's boss, Tom. Jenna even had narrator lines for me to read! Here are a couple of pictures, and hopefully a video if I can get it to load (my previous attempts have not been very succesful).

Fun with Grandma Lambourne & Aunt Crystal
My mom & sister came out for a visit the end of February. The last time Crystal came out was when Kaylee was born, so it was really fun to have her here. She & Jenna really got along well -- Jenna would read Crystal books almost every night. As always, Mom was a big help as well as fun to have around. Here are a couple of pictures we took. (I never seem to take enough pictures, sometimes I even forget completely -- my excuse will be that I'm too busy enjoying the company to think about pulling out the camera. :-)

Playing in the Snow
When Jodee's family came up shortly after Christmas, we took a trip up to Mt. Hood to play in the snow. Everyone loved sledding down the hill (except maybe Lindsey). Talia was a crazy baby and just couldn't get enough -- she wanted to be on every sled that went down, and wanted to walk down the hill by herself as well! Thanks for coming up to visit, Chad & Jodee!! It was really fun spending some time with your family. (Jodee, let me know if you want me to email you any of these pictures.)

Christmas in Oregon

Sorry we've been missing in action from the Blog for awhile, but I will try to catch up here as quickly as I can. Here are some pix from Christmas in Oregon. I wanted to edit some of the pictures (lighten them, change clothing colors, etc.) but if I keep waiting to do that, I may never get anything posted. (If I ever do get around to the editing, I'll update the pictures later.)
Christmas Choirs -- Jenna & Kaylee were both in their school Christmas choir. Jenna did a duet of "Silent Night" and Kaylee had a solo in a Jewish dreidle song. They both did a terrific job!! They also sang in the stake Christmas children's choir. They really enjoy singing. Right now, they are both taking guitar classes after school -- I think it's fun for them to have the opportunity to try lots of different things.
Christmas Morning -- I don't know if anything can compare to the excitement of Christmas morning!! The children had so much fun opening presents and playing with their toys. Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful gifts. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family! (The kids watch the "Annie" production Bryan's family did ALL the time -- it's really terrific!!)
